1. Project Brief

Inspired by Josef and Annie Albers, the task was to photograph campus architecture and transform the images into abstract vector compositions. The final piece required a unified 24”x24” modular grid of nine units.

2. Software & Tools

The work was executed entirely in Adobe Illustrator. Tools were used to trace photographs into clean vector shapes, apply color theory (tints and shades), and finalize the nine-part, modular grid composition.

3. Final Deliverable

A nine-unit vector composition reflecting the USF campus at night. The limited five-color palette was sampled from Van Gogh’s Starry Night, conveying a personal and emotional connection to the setting.

4. Core Disciplines

Vector Illustration (Adobe Illustrator), Color Theory (Tints/Shades), Abstract Design, Modular Design, Composition, Photographic Interpretation.
