1. Project Brief

As a final project for my African American Studies minor, I developed a 12-page zine and a 3-page historical analysis exploring how Black creativity functions as a form of systemic resistance.

2. Software & Tools

The layout was built in Adobe InDesign, with image processing handled in Photoshop and Canva. The project integrated primary historical documents and secondary academic sources into a cohesive visual narrative.

3. Final Deliverable

A research-backed creative project that synthesized monographs, academic journals, and primary sources. The final zine successfully bridged the gap between historical scholarship and modern, accessible design.

4. Core Disciplines

Editorial Design, Academic Research, Historical Analysis, Visual Storytelling, Social Justice Advocacy, Layout & Composition.
